Leadership Style Statement

My leadership approach is grounded in structured autonomy and a strong belief in individuals' capabilities and potential. I prioritize building teams of self-motivated, ambitious professionals and operate from the understanding that while talent may vary, skills can be developed, refined, and mastered over time. This perspective allows me to set high expectations while remaining equally committed to growth and development.

I place a high value on authenticity and honesty in professional interactions. Clear, direct communication fosters trust and enables teams to operate with confidence and alignment. I encourage thoughtful questioning and innovation when circumstances allow, while also recognizing the importance of executing within established leadership direction when required.

In practice, I establish a defined performance framework—setting clear goals, expectations, and boundaries—then allow individuals the flexibility to execute their work in ways that align with their strengths. This approach supports both consistency and creativity. While I encourage specialization to maximize expertise, I also ensure cross-functionality within teams so that responsibilities are shared and continuity is maintained.

I view challenging conversations as a necessary and constructive component of leadership. Through a coaching-oriented approach, I address performance and development directly, focusing on alignment, accountability, and continuous improvement.

My doctoral background in leadership and diversity, equity, and inclusion informs my commitment to fostering an environment where all individuals are positioned to contribute effectively. I believe that inclusive, well-supported teams are not only more equitable but also more innovative, resilient, and successful in achieving organizational goals.
